Kora Organic’s Noni Glow Facial Oil earns a Product Design & Effectiveness Score of an solid “A”. Our reviewers used the Noni Glow Oil for two weeks both AM and PM. The product was used in conjunction with two other Kora Organics products: the Noni Glow Vitamin C Serum and the Noni Radiant Eye Oil.
On first impressions, the Noni Glow facial oil has the consistency of a lightweight “dry oil” which absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy finish. The oil has a light, yet noticeable floral scent reminiscent of jasmine and lavender. If you are used to using heavier facial oils, then this oil may take some getting used to. Unlike richer oils which can often be used in place of a moisturizer or serum, the Noni Glow facial oil is very lightweight. The oil absorbs almost instantly into the skin but, while it does leave skin feeling quite soft, drier skin types may feel the need to use the Noni Glow oil in conjunction with a moisturizing serum or moisturizer. Not that the oil isn’t moisturizing–it just doesn’t sit on top of the skin like some other facial oils. The Noni Glow facial oil comes in a one ounce bottle which can last several weeks when using 2-3 drops at a time.
When it comes to performance, our reviewers reported many positive experiences with the Noni Glow Face Oil. Almost all reviewers experienced “softer skin” and more than half experienced “brighter skin” during the course of their two week trial. That includes results such as softening of wrinkles, lightening of dark spots, and an overall more even skin complexion. The oil was easy to layer over other skin care products (such as toners, serums, and spot treatments) and worked very well under makeup. In fact, it was one of the few organic facial oils that we’ve reviewed that can confidently be worn under makeup without the risk of excessive greasiness or smudging. The Noni Glow facial oil was well rated across all skin types. Dry and Combination skin types gave the product its highest scores, followed by oily, mature, and sensitive skin types. For those with sensitivities to essential oils, the Noni Glow does contain jasmine, rose, and lavender extracts which may exacerbate certain sensitivities.
