May Lindstrom’s Jasmine Garden facial mist has earned a Product Design & Effectiveness Score of an “A+”. Our team trialed the Jasmine Garden for two weeks alongside May Lindstrom’s Blue Cocoon Balm and The Clean Dirt Exfoliating Powder.

When it comes to design, the Jasmine Garden knocks it out of the park. The product comes packaged in a sleek, sturdy, and stunning black glass mist bottle. Both the bottle and the outer packaging come with a sticker indicating the date and batch number of the product; this way, you’ll always know if your product was made fresh (which, in our opinion, makes a lot of difference). The spray bottle pumps out a nice light mist each time without ever getting clogged. Just a few mists is all it takes to cover most of the face, neck, and shoulders.

The very first thing we noticed about the Jasmine Garden was its striking jasmine scent. Jasmine has a beautiful and unique scent that cannot be missed. The scent is somewhat softened by the addition of rose oil, vanilla, and ylang ylang. Our reviewer’s all gave the Jasmine Garden high ratings for its floral scent with some calling it “uplifting,” “addictive,” and “like being in a real garden.” Because the Jasmine Garden was crafted for all skin types, we recruited reviewers with a variety of skin types ranging from excessively dry to very sensitive (and everything in between including oily, acne, combo, and normal). It is worth noting that none of our reviewers, even our most sensitive skin types, experienced any irritation while trialing the Jasmine Garden. This facial mist is indeed refreshing, balancing, and soothing. The formula seems somewhat adaptive and responds to the needs of each skin types. For example, our dry skin reviewers reported experiencing more hydration while oilier skin types reported feeling less oily and more balanced. We were unable to test this product on individuals with severe acne, but one reviewer who suffers from frequent breakouts did report a reduction in the “inflamed” appearance of active breakouts.

Note: For anyone wondering about the luxury price tag—look no further than the Jasmine Garden’s ingredients. The Jasmine Garden is made with authentic certified organic Bulgarian Rose Damascena oil. Not only is this oil incredibly rare and potent, it also come at a premium price tag of over $400/oz (that’s $1 per drop!). Most skin care products that use rose oil will use non-organic rose oil or they will use an oil from a different rose (roses that are more affordable, yet not as potent). True Bulgarian Rose Damascena essential oil is prized because it is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-aging essential oils found anywhere in the world. In our opinion, the three most notable ingredients of the Jasmine Garden are organic witch hazel, colloidal silver, and organic rose damascena oil.

Our team analyzed 105 online customer reviews for May Lindstrom’s Jasmine Garden facial toner from 6 different online retailers (including stores like Follain, Detox Market, Aillea, and Petit Vour). Across all retailers, the Jasmine Garden earned an average customer review of 4.7/5 stars–earning a solid score of “A” for our Online Customer Review Score. It was clear from our analysis that the vast majority of reviews for the Jasmine Garden were positive. In fact, only 2 out of 104 reviewers left a one-star review (both reviewers reported experiencing irritation with use). We found a total of 13 critical reviews of the Jasmine Garden. The largest criticism of the product revolved around it’s premium price; with some reviewers saying that they would not repurchase due to the luxury price and others claiming that they felt as though they could replicate the product. On the positive side (90/104 reviews), customers applauded the Jasmine Garden for it’s ability to soothe redness, calm acne breakouts, hydrate dry skin, and for its true floral scent (which some claimed was less overpowering).
